REQUIREMENTS:

*l. Each connector shall be capable of mating with P/N M22442/4-l (U-61/U) and

M22442/4-2.

*2. The rear of the M22442/5-3 connector shall contain a jack capable of mating with Air

Force Drawings 57Bl2662 and 57Bl2664 which govern the requirements of connector

U-l73/U.

3. Sampling and testing procedures shall be in accordance with MIL-P-642.

4. Each connector shall meet the following requirements when tested in accordance with

MIL-P-642.

a. Visual and mechanical.

b. Dielectric strength.

c. Contact resistance.

d. Insertion and withdrawal force. 1/

e. Salt spray.

f. insulation resistance.

g. Moisture resistance.

5. The insertion force shall be 8 lb. maximum. The withdrawal force shall be 6 + 2 lb. 1/

6. After the spring life test the withdrawal force shall be greater than 60 percent of the

withdrawal force measured prior to test. 1/
